Through a semiotic analysis of 'online' and 'offline' aesthetics, chalimoé reinforces the notion that the Internet's democratisation of the image has created a unifying visual language. This is especially true for the Nike and Adidas logos which have been parodied and appropriated countlessly in Tumblr-based web-art, and real-life health goth and vaporwave culture.
