Through the romanticisation of 90s web aesthetic and outdated software, chalimoé considers the utopian possibilities that the online universe of the 90s offered, and contrasts them with our digitally augmented present. In reference to Samuel Taylor Coleridge's famous ballad 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner', the text "Windows, windows every where,/ Nor any breeze to feel" satirises our 'always-online' culture, criticising its notions of excess and banality.
