Xiaofan has utilised embroidery to represent traditional Chinese culture. As the collar is reversible, in order to wear the traditional form, the spike studs of the contemporary style move to the inside. This would be painful and tight for the wearer when the collar transforms into the traditional way, reflecting the constraints of traditional expectations on Chinese professional women.
