Cubicle Chair
Timothy Geldard's work has focused on the metanarrative of human development from farming to cubicle work. These works explore the relationship between domestic scenarios and offices through the paradigm of flow and how ultimate workflow and temporal hypo-frontality may be achieved through a new front of home office furniture and interaction. 'Cubicle Chair' explores modernism in the office, in which functional design comes second to aesthetics and accommodating corporate trends. It is a non-interactive piece which does not inspire a flow state of mind as there is no challenge or skill at work.
