River for Royal Doulton
'River' is a teaware collection that includes a tray, cup, lid or trivet, milk cup, and sugar cup. The collection is generated through a biomimicry concept of river geometries called the 'water table'. The tray represents the water table, an interplay for the users to interact with as they let in and empty out water. The combined lid and trivet regulates a malleability in function to transfer or hold in heat. Lastly, the cup embodies the river, which accompanied by the lid/trivet, symbolises the dichotomy of wet and dry.
