Graduate Exhibition

This work is a part of the 'Fringes of Sound' series which is an exploration of the relationship between materiality and graphic art, using experimental music as its primary subject matter. The project examines how an ongoing engagement with materials can compliment graphic content as well as enhance viewers' experiences. The project uses personal discussions with three independent musicians to inform its graphic and material choices. Through extensive prototyping, the project aims to highlight the reflective qualities materials possess, opposed to their technical functionality. The final outcome is a series of installations and zines that highlight both the creative process of each musician, as well as the relationship that is shared between materiality and graphic art.
