Graduate Exhibition

This project focuses on empowering a network of female artisans through traditional and contemporary weaving practices. The exploration of movement, culture and reviving tradition drives the conceptual meaning and dynamic design of this collection. Through interlacing multiple materials and cultural knowledge, a memorial journey is created. 'Entwine’ echoes the constant evolutions and rhythms of life through interlaced techniques and materials. This project was hypothetically aimed to socially engage with a group of Yolngu Weavers and Artisans from Gapuwiyak, North-East Arnhem Land.
