G A T H E R I N G - How to walk in two worlds, desert tracks and straight lines
Contact & More Info
'Gathering' encompasses a series of sculptural objects which represent a visual continuity between land and city spheres. This project aims to facilitate dialogue between the viewer and the viewed, seeking to re-orient an individual's perception, awareness, and values concerning a sense of place, belonging and identity through re-engagement with time. The object's poetic identity ties the visual dichotomy between the land and the city together, emphasising the need for a constant balance between the values of the two in an urban context. The sculptural objects allow the viewer to engage in an observational and contemplative thought process, provoking them to reflect upon their core values. This, in turn, will encourage viewers to foster a deeper connection to place, metaphorically allowing them to walk within two worlds: desert tracks and straight lines.
