Monique strongly supports the practice of designing sustainable solutions. Monique believes that in object design, there should be a cultural and social awareness of the significance that furniture and objects have in everyday life. This stool was re-purposed from a pallet found on the side of the road. Even though the stool was sanded down, a number of imperfections from its 'previous life' are still visible. This outcome would of have been unachievable if it was constructed from newly purchased, undamaged wood.
