Through a feminist lens, Ellen Wilkinson challenges the damaging impact of objectification and sexualisation that a patriarchal gaze has had on the female body. Her playful oeuvre is a liberation of the taboos of the bodily functions of the female anatomy. Delving into the abject, the fluidity of her visceral sculptures in conversation with photography, celebrates the organic interrelationship between body and biological processes.
