Bianca Vitale's work is made up of two pieces, an experimental book and a video. Her work focuses on avant-garde graphic design and how that manipulation can be translated into film. This connection between the two works creates the basis for the project, exploring themes of experimental graphic design, video manipulation and psychedelia. Within these concepts, Bianca focuses on the foundations of graphic design (line, colour, shape and texture), transporting these elements into video form. In reference to early video art, the pieces are heavy manipulated to include grain and glitch in order to symbolise the specific practice of Risograph Printing to which the book is produced. Bianca works with paint and macro videography to capture motion and fluidity in a psychedelic way, resulting in experiences of mesmerisation and disorientation at times.
