The Lost and Found
This work embodies place, subtly communicating time-weathered history, remnants of human intervention, and the distilled colour and texture of elemental atmosphere of the eucalyptus forests of the Blue Mountains. Quiet and meditative, this work contains potent material residue and subtle mark-making from human use, and a journey spanning the globe from Australia to Scotland and back. The beeswax is a preservative, as well as a very tactile material, simultaneously encapsulating the intangible sensory qualities of colour and scent.
