The Topography of Faces
'The Topography of Faces' is a video work inspired by landscapes, textures and camouflaging faces. The work started out as an attempt to merge repetitive faces, drawn subconsciously in sketchbooks, with textual elements from various landscapes. Traditional and digital art forms are combined, escaping the confines of art that can be easily categorised. Overall, this video work seeks to retain the textures and messiness of freehand drawing and combine it with digital collage and vibrant brushstrokes.
