Graduate Exhibition

'Neo Couture' is a speculative garment collection developed at the intersection of material research, the body, and garment design. This project considers the role of design in a world that depends on the reversal of unsustainable environmental practices to heal from the destruction and devastation that followed the industrial revolution. The collection presents textile designs that have moved beyond both synthetics and the traditional woven materials that we have veiled our bodies in for centuries. It engages viewers beyond the garment norms of today, developing a transparent understanding of research, development, and final product, challenging the status quo.
