Graduate Exhibition

Inspired by the ancient embroidery techniques of Bhuj women, 'Kantha' was designed during the Cultural Textiles field trip in 2016, and was selected to be produced as an Ajrakh block printed rug by Sufiyan Khatri in Ajrakhpur, India. Handwoven in Andhra Pradesh, the dual sided rug is printed using indigo, iron and Indian madder.
