Graduate Exhibition

Through 'Terra Materia', Jacalin King aims to provoke a more visceral and intentional connection to land and environment, in order for Australians to reestablish a sense of place within the landscape. Through the alteration of a person's narrative of land and nature, the publication facilitates a greater self-awareness of one's involvement with ecological crises and responsibility to pursue change. The publication explores walking as an important environmental ritual and alternative experience of reflection, key to reorienting ourselves within our land and leaning away from an anthropocentric worldview.
