How can kinetic interactions with jewellery help in stressful situations? 'Squeeze, Rock and Roll' is a wearable solution to disruptive fidgeting. With these jewellery pieces, Gabrielle Chaloner explores the interrelationship between haptic and kinetic movement. Through an investigation into restless behaviours, Gabrielle identified the most common physical symptoms of fidgeting were the movements of squeezing, rocking and rolling. This project explores the fusion of metal and ceramic materials to facilitate a pleasing and calming fidget motion. The haptic and kinetic qualities of these pieces offer the user maximum fidget satisfaction with minimum disruption.
