Graduate Exhibition

Emma Rahmani's work explores the culture of kiosk shops in northern Germany. Whilst spending a year abroad in Hamburg and finishing her Fine Arts degree, Emma was fascinated by the overwhelming amount of these little kiosks that were found all over the city. Always glowing with neon LED lights and blasting all kinds of music, kiosks were used for everything, ranging from a place to purchase last minute cat litter, to stocking up on this week’s beers. By photographing these shops that are considered to be a standard aspect of everyday life by the locals, Emma aims to reveal the captivating nature of the mundane.
