Graduate Exhibition

Cinzia (Syndy) Esteves is intrigued by societal structures and human conditions within these structures. Cinzia also explores the human form and marks that are embodied or disembodied through childhood experiences, analysing the formation of memories and dreams. In this current series, Cinzia has engaged with mnemonic images and dreams, translating photographs of life models into paintings through a process of sketching, redrawing, recomposing and developing composition. In doing so, Cinzia explores societal structures via a micro lens, through her personal family history, using childhood experiences that can condition identity and understanding of the self.
